01What WThumb does

WThumb turns a reference image and optional personal photo, text, and instructions into thumbnails for a video. One run is one image and one credit off your allowance (1 credit makes 1 thumbnail), and one request in the Studio can ask for up to four runs: one or two designs in each of the two shapes.

When a thumbnail finishes you can ask for a change to it, a revision, by describing the change in words. Each revision is another run and another credit off your allowance. There is no limit on revisions: the newest version can be revised again, then or when you reopen the conversation it was made in. WThumb does not promise a click-through rate, view count, or result for a video you publish.

02Your account

You need an account to generate a thumbnail. You can sign in with a password or Google. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private and for activity through your account.

One person may use one account. If you believe someone else is using yours, write to info@wthumb.co.

03Free credits

New accounts receive 2 free credits once. One completed thumbnail uses one credit from that allowance. The free credits do not renew; a paid plan, described in the next section, adds a monthly allowance on top. To prevent abuse, the free credits can be used by one account per internet connection in any 30 days.

If a run does not produce a thumbnail, its credit goes back to your balance.

04Paid plans and payment

Paid plans are sold by Dodo Payments Inc., our merchant of record. Dodo Payments runs the checkout page, charges your card, issues the invoice, collects any tax the sale carries and processes refunds, all under its own terms, which you accept on its checkout page. WThumb receives the status of your subscription, a customer identifier and the email address you paid with, and nothing about your card: your card number never reaches WThumb.

A plan gives you a set number of credits each month, whether you pay monthly or yearly: 30 on Starter, 120 on Creator, 300 on Studio, at the prices on the pricing page. At each monthly turn the balance is set to the plan's number, so credits you did not use are gone, unless you have credit rollover. A plan renews until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from the plan page in your account. Canceling at the next billing date keeps the plan, and its balance, to the end of the period you have paid for, and it does not renew. Canceling immediately ends the plan at once, and the remaining balance is removed at once.

You can change plan from your plan page, or from the pricing page while signed in. Moving to a dearer plan is charged today: you pay the difference between the two plans, and on a yearly plan past its first month the time left on your year is credited against the new plan's price instead. The new plan starts today with its full number of credits, less one credit for each thumbnail you have already made this period, and your billing date moves to today, so the new plan renews a month or a year from then. Moving to a cheaper plan waits for your next billing date and costs nothing until then; your current plan and its balance stay until that date. Either way the plan page shows you the exact amount, and what your balance will be, before anything is charged, and nothing is charged unless you confirm.

Credit rollover is an optional add-on priced at one quarter of your plan and billed with the plan, on the plan's own cycle. With it on, credits you did not use carry over into the next month, with no cap. You can add it at checkout or later from your plan page, and remove it there at any time. Added at checkout, it is part of your first payment. Added later from your plan page, it is charged straight away: you pay for the rest of your current cycle at the new price, and your billing date moves to that day, so your plan renews a cycle later at the new price. The plan page shows you the exact amount and the new renewal date before anything is charged, and nothing is charged unless you confirm. Removing it is free and takes effect at your next billing date: the add-on stays on until then, and anything carried over is cleared at the first period turn after that, when the balance is set to the plan's number again. It ends when the subscription ends.

When a subscription ends, whether you canceled it or a payment failed and was not recovered, the balance it granted is removed, carried-over credits included; thumbnails you already made stay in your account. Apart from a plan change you asked for, nothing is taken from your balance in the middle of a period.

If you have not used any credits since a payment, you can have that payment refunded in full within 30 days of it, whether it was your first payment or a renewal. Ask through Support in your account or write to support@wthumb.co, and a person will read it. The refund itself is processed by Dodo Payments, back to the payment method you paid with, and it ends the plan that payment was for: the plan is canceled at once and its balance is removed. For any other question about a charge, write to the same address.

05The images you upload

You retain your rights in what you upload. You give WThumb permission to store and process it, and to share it with the service providers named in the Privacy Policy, only as needed to make your thumbnails and provide the service.

You must have the right to use each image. If a recognizable person appears, you must have permission to use their likeness this way.

Do not upload sexual content involving minors, content intended to harass or impersonate a real person, or material you do not have the right to use.

06What you may ask for

The clause above is about what you upload. The same limits apply to what you ask WThumb to make. Do not use it to generate sexual, explicit or sexually suggestive imagery, any sexualised depiction of a minor, imagery that harasses or degrades a person or a group, graphic violence, or an image of a real person who has not agreed to appear in it.

The rule is ours and applies whether or not an automated filter blocks a particular request.

The Acceptable Use Policy at wthumb.co/acceptable-use sets this out in full and forms part of these terms. Breaking it can cost you your account.

07The thumbnails you generate

You may publish, edit, and use a generated thumbnail commercially, including on a monetised channel.

Because of how AI image generation works, a thumbnail may not be unique, and similar inputs can produce similar results for other users. Check a thumbnail before you publish it; you are responsible for how you use it.

08Disclaimers

WThumb is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these terms, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

09Deleting your account

You can start self-service account deletion from the Profile page. Type DELETE to confirm. Deletion removes your sign-in identity, profile, drafts, personas and their photographs, transient inputs, generated thumbnails, private prompts, your support conversations and every file attached to them, and other content you can recover through the product.

You can follow its progress on the private status page that opens when you start it, and write to privacy@wthumb.co if you need help.

Some records that can no longer be linked to you may be kept, as the Privacy Policy describes.

10Changes

These terms can change. A material change will appear on this page with a new date at the top.

11Who runs WThumb

WThumb is operated by Erdem Erdoğdu, a sole trader based in Istanbul, Türkiye.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. Nothing in them takes away a right you have under the consumer or data-protection law of the country you live in.

For anything about the product (a question, a complaint, or a bug), write to info@wthumb.co. For anything about your personal data (a copy of it, a correction, or a deletion), write to privacy@wthumb.co, which reaches the same person.
