Roblox thumbnail maker. Put the chase, the obby, or the team battle first.

Paste a link to a Roblox video or upload a reference, name the game and the hook, and keep it all in the game or add your photo. WThumb builds a new 16:9 or 9:16 design around it.

WHAT CHANGES

Two Roblox briefs, in the game and with a face.

The first brief is a horror escape in Piggy, a horror game on Roblox: an avatar runs from Piggy down a hallway of its School map, under ESCAPE THE SCHOOL. The second is a team battle: two bacon hair captains face off in front of red and blue armies, under 100 VS 100. Both references were cleaned first, so no other creator's avatar, real person, or blood is left in them. The face pair adds one line: keep the game characters and put the creator beside them. The avatars, characters, and maps are generated, so compare them with the game before publishing.

HOW IT WORKS

How to make a Roblox thumbnail in three steps.

Open the Studio
  1. Bring a Roblox reference

Paste a public link to a Roblox video in the same format as yours, or upload a thumbnail you like.

  2. Name the game and the hook

Add the real game, monster, obby, or team count, and the few words the picture should carry.

  3. Generate it in 16:9, 9:16, or both

Keep it all in the game, or add your photo and say where you stand beside the avatar. Each frame is composed on its own.

BUILD THE BRIEF

Tips for Roblox thumbnails that stay true to the game.

Let the format pick the picture

A horror escape wants the monster right behind the avatar. An obby wants the jump over the drop, a team battle two colors facing off, a tycoon or a garden the small start against the big finish, a roleplay story the moment it turns.

Name the real game and character

Roblox is many games in one, so say which one. Viewers know Piggy and her bat, the hotel in Doors, the campfire in 99 Nights in the Forest, and the bacon hair avatar on sight. Ask for the real one by name instead of a pig monster, a haunted hotel, or a forest.

Check the game details, leave the logo off

Generated avatars, characters, and maps can drift from the game, so compare them with Roblox and fix one thing per revision. Your title already names Roblox, so keep the Roblox logo, its tilted square O, and the Now on Roblox badge off the picture.

QUESTIONS

Questions about the Roblox thumbnail maker.

Obbies and escape runs, horror games like Piggy or Doors, Brookhaven roleplay stories, tycoons and simulators, Grow a Garden progress, Murder Mystery 2 and Rivals rounds, hide and seek, noob to pro series, and team battles. Any video with one premise the picture can show works.

Both. Leave the photo out and the picture stays in the game: avatars, the map, the monster, and your words, so name the avatars you want in it. Add your photo when your reaction is part of the story. By default your photo takes the place of the figure in the reference, and in a Roblox thumbnail that figure is often the avatar. To keep the game character, say so, for example: keep the avatar running and put me beside it.

Not reliably. WThumb generates a new image rather than pasting a screenshot, so your avatar, its accessories, and its colors come back close, not item for item. Attach a clear screenshot of your avatar as an extra image, point to it in your instructions, and check the result. If the exact avatar must appear, put your words over your own screenshot in an editor.

You can ask for them by name: Piggy with her baseball bat, Seek from Doors, Blue from Rainbow Friends, or a bacon hair avatar. The picture is generated, so faces, colors, and maps can drift from the game. Compare them with the game and revise before publishing. Each character belongs to the studio that made its game.

It depends on where it goes. For a Roblox game page, Roblox's Creator Hub asks for 16:9, ideally 1920 by 1080 pixels; the next question covers the upload. For a YouTube video, WThumb's 16:9 thumbnail comes back at 2048 by 1152 pixels and its Shorts one at 1152 by 2048, each composed for its own frame rather than cropped. Tick both to get the pair from one brief; each thumbnail uses 1 credit. Roblox Creator Hub: Thumbnails.

Yes. Roblox's Creator Hub asks for game thumbnails in 16:9, ideally 1920 by 1080 pixels, as a JPG, GIF, PNG, TGA or BMP file, up to 10 images or videos per game, and moderates every upload against its Community Rules. Keep words off the bottom edge, where the player count can cover them. A WThumb 16:9 result is a 2048 by 1152 JPEG: bring it to 1920 by 1080 with the free thumbnail resizer, then upload it in the Creator Dashboard under Configure, Places, Thumbnails. WThumb does not make the square game icon. Roblox Creator Hub: Thumbnails.

WThumb is free to try: new accounts get 2 free credits, no card needed, and 1 credit makes 1 thumbnail, in 16:9 or 9:16 with no watermark. Paid plans start at $12 a month.

No. WThumb is an independent thumbnail maker. Not an official Roblox service. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Roblox Corporation. Nor is it affiliated with the makers of the games you name, such as Piggy. Leave the Roblox logo and the Now on Roblox badge off your thumbnail too: your title already names Roblox, and a real avatar, character, or map says it on its own.
